Where To Use Tartan Ribbon In Your Scottish Theme Wedding

You can use varying widths or tartans to accent the decorations at the church, reception, car or limo ~ on the cake, flowers, or favors ~ to trim the wedding dress, bridesmaid dress, flower girl dress or basket.

Watch Those Length and Width Designations

Here’s a basic rule of thumb, but not always so ~ if it’s a European company they will most likely sell in centimeters, and metres. If it’s an American company, they will probably sell in inches, feet and yards.

Wool ribbon is usually offered in 1 inch increments of width from 1” to 12”, and lengths in 1 inch, 1 yard, or 54 inches.

Polyester ribbon is offered in 3/8, ½, 5/8, 1, 1-1/2, 2, and 3 inch widths on spools 22 or 23 yards long or by the metre.
